In 2023, she is set to receive the esteemed “Artistic Career Award 2023” during a distinguished ceremony at the illustrious Teatro of Casinò in Sanremo. This particular accolade is exclusively reserved for artists who showcase exceptional artistic merit, and it will be presented by none other than the renowned EFFETTO Arte Foundation—a pioneering leader within the realm of contemporary art.

1.2   2023: International Prize Michelangelo “The Genius of Italy”

In 2023, she was awarded “The International Prize Michelangelo-The Genius of Italy” one of the most prestigious art awards presented at the most famous theatre in Italy, (Teatro Italia) in Rome, the capital of Italy. The award is given in the presence of art collectors, journalists, politicians, and art lovers from all around the world. The Michelangelo International Prize is a recognition that is assigned to all those artists who have distinguished themselves over the years for the stylistic value in their works of art.

Wan Jamila a.k.a. ARTJAMILA is now listed as a master of contemporary art in the  “CONTEMPORARY CELEBRITY MASTERS” Vol. IV, a compilation of the most famous masters in contemporary art.

1.5  2023: Featured Artist (Asian Level) in the International Symposium on art, culture, language, and literature on Feb 9, 2023, called Rentasia at the Malaysian Islamic Art Museum, Kuala Lumpur hosted by College of Creative Arts (CCA) UiTM, a collaboration with other universities in Malaysia, China, Indonesia, and Thailand universities.

I am very happy and pleased to be included under the category *today*. Wan Jamila a.k.a. On 12 May 2020, artjamila’s painting titled “Our Heroes Series 1” was chosen to be used as a tribute to the nurses for World Nurses Day by a group of generous people who decided to raise funds to send cakes to celebrate this day with our nurses and 3,500 frontliners at Kuala Lumpur Hospital and Sungai Buloh Hospital. The painting was made edible and pasted onto the cake as a decoration. This act of appreciation was a huge success.

The collaboration started in 2019. This project transforms the characteristics of Artjamila’s naïve art from her “Cats in Baskets” series into fashion. Bright and vibrant colours used in the composition of the paintings are incorporated into the fashion design. This collection of designs is targeted towards the youth, especially for female trendsetters, fashion leaders who keep track of the latest fashion trends and people who are confident in their own style.

HOM Art Open 2021 is an annual exhibition that seeks to provide a platform new talent, young & establish artists to showcase their artworks. The initiative aligns with a pursuit close to our hearts, that is to nurture budding artists in Malaysia. This year, we received over 100 submissions for the open call; a total of 47 artists have been selected to participate in this year’s exhibition. This showcase will highlight artists who are new to the industry, and bursting with potential and capability; we are certainly excited for the chance to highlight their work. Comprising of a varied selection of paintings, sculptures, printworks, and installation, the chosen artworks will be featured on our website, as well as all our social media platforms.
