Interpretation: The assimilation of the three major ethnics (Malay, Chinese, Indian) of people of Malaysia with the flying flag reflects ‘UNITY IN DIVERSITY” of the mind and spirit of the people of Malaysia. The “Jalur Gemilang” is decorated with our national flower (Bunga Raya) in red and white. Malaysians from different walks of life, ages, races and religions have a common objective for “UNITY”. This is what “the Spirit of Merdeka” is all about.
